Meet Dr. Eric Nease!
He graduated as Valedictorian from Cocke County (TN) High School in 1988 and graduated from the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!) in 1992. He then attended the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis, TN, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree as Valedictorian of his graduating class in 1996. He remained at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry for his orthodontic training, and received his Master of Dental Science (MDS) degree in June of 1999. He immediately joined the practice of Dr. Phil Higginbotham in Spartanburg, beginning a wonderful professional relationship and friendship that endures today.
Dr. Nease maintains membership with the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the South Carolina Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, the Piedmont District Dental Society, the Spartanburg County Dental Society and the Schulman Group, a nationally recognized association of prominent orthodontic practices. He is active in organized dentistry and orthodontics, having served in the past as President of the Spartanburg County Dental Society, the Piedmont District Dental Society, the South Carolina Association of Orthodontists, and the American Association of Orthodontists Foundation.
Dr. Nease is married to Melody, who is a 5th grade teacher at Jesse Boyd Elementary School. They have four adult children (Sydney, Cameron, Ansley and Reagan) in various stages of higher education that keep them very busy! They also have one dog (Charlie), and a cat (Lucy). Dr. Nease is a lifelong sports enthusiast, and has been active either playing or watching sports his entire life. He is the #1 Tennessee Volunteer fan in SC (self-proclaimed), and attends Carolina Panthers (Keep Pounding!) and Charlotte Hornets (Bring Back the Buzz!) games as often as possible. He golfs, hunts, and goes snow skiing when the powder is right!
