Orthodontic Fact #5

Orthodontic Fact #5 Improve your dental health in style. Many teens today fashion their dental braces with colored bands and brackets. Braces are now worn as a fashion statement
Teenagers love wearing braces to straighten their teeth and frequently want to make a fashion statement by choosing colorful brackets and bands. Allowing a teenager to express themselves with this unique trend is an excellent way to encourage proper care of orthodontic devices. It is also important to choose an orthodontist who understands the special needs of adolescents who are undergoing rapid growth of their jaw and facial structure. A teenager wearing metal orthodontic devices or removable Invisalign aligners may require numerous adjustments to wires or new molds to ensure orthodontic devices fit correctly.
Wearing orthodontic devices requires a commitment to care for the items properly to avoid broken wires or splitting plastic. An orthodontist who makes a teenage patient’s visits enjoyable is less likely to need to make several repairs to braces because they consumed the wrong types of foods. Parents selecting an orthodontic team for a teenager must find a modern facility that provides customized, individualized and personable treatment to make visits more pleasant. Take time to visit an orthodontic facility with your teenager to see their reaction to the professional team.
