Are [Clear] Braces Effective?
Last Updated on
A smile is a person’s calling card in life. It is one of the first things a person notices. If you are looking for an experienced orthodontist, the duo of Dr. Eric Nease and Dr. Phil Higginbotham are perfect for you. Over the years, the debate between clear and metal brace treatments has raged on. Clear brace options are now a solid choice for anyone who wants a discreet way to straighten teeth. Visiting Nease & Higginbotham Orthodontics in Spartanburg helps patients get the perfect smile for them. The following includes some basic information about ceramic treatments and how they work.
Visibility Is Everything
Visibility is usually the chief reason patients choose clear straightening treatments. Many people feel weird or self-conscious about getting braces in the first place. Metal braces, by nature, are very shiny and visible. Clear options are a more subtle treatment because they blend in better than metal ones. Orthodontists use semi-translucent brackets on clear options. And of course, the bracket itself is tooth-colored.
Option to Invest in Different Band Colors
Patients can invest in many different colors when it comes to clear options. For example, you could go with a clear option, or you could go with colors too. The clear materials are custom made to suit the individual’s needs, tooth size, and color.
Strong and Effective Orthodontic Treatment
Patients often think that they need to invest in metal because the material is stronger and more durable. Clear options are just as durable as metal ones. Thanks to the latest advancements, clear treatments chip or break less than they used to, and they are less likely to become stained by regular eating and drinking. Over the years, there have been many advancements with clear brackets to make them just as effective as other options.
Easy Orthodontic Process
No one wants to sit for hours and be poked and prodded. Our Spartanburg experts will make your consultation quick and easy. Professionals will examine the teeth and make a treatment plan with you. You can also expect to have X-Rays done and some basic questions asked about your life, needs and dreams for your teeth. Clear brackets are attached to the teeth and customized to meet the patient’s unique situation. Just like with other brace options, gentle pressure slowly straightens teeth.
Same Straightening Time as Other Options
This type of treatment is just as efficient as metal ones. It requires the same number of office visits and straightening period. You will not need to prolong the treatment if you choose this treatment. In the past, clear options have cost more money, but even this is changing thanks to advancements in the field. The straightening time is the same as any other orthodontic option. Thus, it comes down to the patient thinking about the look and feel of their brace treatment. Not having to worry about having these on for longer makes it an easier decision for individuals and families.
In conclusion, not everyone wants a mouth full of metal braces. Dr. Eric Nease and Dr. Phil Higginbotham make sure that people understand how clear braces options work. They really are as effective as metal options. These orthodontic treatments are safe, smart and discreet. Thus, you can straighten your teeth without discomfort.
